New Fall SpeakSooner Community Education Webinar

Aug 21, 2025

On Wednesday, November 12 at 6 pm the Center for Communication in Medicine will host a new SpeakSooner Community Education webinar titled There’s Not Enough Time! What Can Patients and Healthcare Providers Do About It?

We have assembled a panel of experts who will address the persistent challenge of time limitations imposed by the healthcare system and what those providing and receiving care can do about it. The discussion will focus on interventions that benefit patient care while helping providers increase job satisfaction and workplace efficiencies.  Audience Q&A will be offered via chat.

Our panelists are Jessica Garnsey, PA-C, Cardiology Physician Assistant, Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake, NY; Col. James W. Baker (ret.), Patient & Independent Consultant; and Michael Welther, MD, Primary Care Physician (ret.).

Mary Chamberlin, MD, Oncologist & Director of the Breast Cancer Program, Dartmouth Health, Lebanon, Associate Professor, Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth and Kevin Dailey, Patient, will add their perspectives via pre-recorded video interview.

For the past 15 years the SpeakSooner Community Education series has introduced timely topics that can help to improve patient-provider communication and quality of care. As a recent attendee stated, “SpeakSooner offers the community a priceless gift. There is an overwhelming need and thirst for your expertise.”

The webinar is free and open to the public.  Register here!
